The objective was to transform the Hashiware Residence into a timeless retreat with traditional styling, incorporating elements that honor local heritage and cultural aesthetics. The project aimed to deliver an interior design that is both functional and stylish, respecting the client’s vision of classic elegance.
Site Characteristics:
- Topography: The site in Alibaug features a relatively flat terrain, which facilitated straightforward construction but required careful planning to integrate the traditional design seamlessly.
- Existing Structures: The residence involved an extensive renovation of an existing structure, necessitating structural assessments and adjustments to accommodate new design elements.
